What We Collect
Signal Tennis collects the following types of data from coaching clients:
- Player performance data: match statistics, video footage, charts, and coaching session records
- Contact details: name, email address
- Tournament results: match results and rankings from public tournament databases
- Profile information: age group, playing hand, backhand type, club affiliation
Why We Collect It
We collect this data to:
- Provide personalised coaching analytics and performance reports
- Deliver statistical charts, video analysis, and scouting reports
- Track player development over time
- Compare performance against squad averages and professional benchmarks
Who Sees Your Data
Access to your data is strictly controlled:
- Only the player (or parent) and authorised coaches can access portal data
- Squad-level aggregates (which do not identify individuals) may be used for group analysis
- No personal data is shared publicly or sold to third parties
- Where video shows multiple players, it is only displayed when all players in frame have active consent
Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate Signal Tennis. All have Data Processing Agreements in place:
- Cloudflare R2 -- file storage (reports, charts, images)
- Bunny.net -- video hosting and delivery
- Heroku -- application hosting
- Sentry -- error monitoring (processes IP addresses and request metadata for debugging)
- Postmark -- transactional email (consent verification, password resets)
- Plausible -- privacy-focused web analytics (no cookies, no personal data)
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data -- request a copy of all personal data we hold about you (Data Subject Access Request)
- Request erasure -- have your personal data deleted
- Withdraw consent -- at any time, without affecting prior processing
- Receive a copy -- get your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object to processing -- where processing is based on legitimate interests

Children's Data
Signal Tennis works primarily with junior players. We take children's data protection seriously:
- All players under 16 require parental consent before their data is processed
- Minor player data is never shown on public pages
- We follow the Irish Data Protection Commission's guidance on children's data protection
- Parents can withdraw consent at any time
